Greta Thunberg who is a climate activist has gone viral again after she tweeted in support of India’s farmers’ protest. The 18 year old tweeted the following on Tuesday (2nd Feb).

Greata's tweet followed the tweet by international pop start Rihana who shared an article and tweeted

“Why aren't we talking about this?! #FarmersProtest.” The activist also shared a toolkit titled "#ASKINDIAWHY Global Farmers Strike First Wave. Will you be part of the largest protest in Human History?" She later deleted the toolkit.

How Greta Thunberg rose to fame?

In August 2018, Greta Thunberg started a worldwide movement by skipping school. She went through her days before the Swedish Parliament, holding a sign that read "School Strike for Climate." The development got universally recognized as Fridays for Future (FFF), Youth for Climate, Climate Strike or Youth Strike for Climate.

Greta has tended to heads of state at the UN, given talks at public gatherings, fought with the previous President of the United States Donald Trump and considerably more.

At 16, Greta had attended the UN's Climate Action Summit, where her impassioned speech moved millions across the world.

Greta has Asperger's syndrome and was Time’s Person of the Year 2019.

Many movies have been made on Thunberg, including the 2020 documentary ‘I Am Greta’, directed by Nathan Grossman.

Thunberg has received various honours and awards over the course of her activism. In May 2018, before the start of her school strike, she was one of the winners of a climate change essay competition by Svenska Dagbladet (The Swedish Daily News) for young people
